Investigations

The Press Council of India investigated the case in summer 1991 and concluded that the rape reports could not be proven. Following that, the government declared the case as "unfit for launching criminal prosecution" in September 1991 and closed it a month later.

The Press Council's conclusions were criticised by the Human Rights Watch which stated that the results of the examinations still raised questions about the activity of the Indian army in Kunan Poshpora. According to HRW, the Press Council's investigative committee had dismissed any evidence that may contradict the government version of events. The HRW report accused the committee of being focused on shielding the Indian government from criticism rather than uncovering truth.[3]

The United States Department of State, in its 1992 report on international human rights, stated that there was "credible evidence" that supports the mass rape charges against the army unit at Kunan Poshpora

Does anyone know how Navy was involved in operation sindoor. I only know about Army and airforce. But it was declared all three forces were involved.

Earlier in the morning some paki sympathisers were crying how Indian Armed forces killed children and women, disregarding a simple question: what they were doing in seminaries run by terrorists, but have simply disappeared or have no reaction to give now when terrorist Paki army is deliberately targeting civilians in Poonchh, which the only thing they can do, btw, since they are shit scared to face our army.

It’s true that army has supported kashmiris countless times and them being anti national is a concern and should be addressed but if it’s true I also condemn it as rape is not justified irrespective of who does it.

Also I am not stating that it’s true 100% could be a propoganda too by militants to brainwash kashmiri’s but I am just understanding the root cause of their hatred stems from such incidents thus making them anti national.

I whole heartedly disagree on root cause. Army went there to curb insurgence and too late.

Root caste for their hate comes from their own beliefs of jihad and killing in vast numbers of KPs and all minorities and forcing them to leave etc. Let’s please not twist facts to suit a narrative and gain a better understanding of root cause analysis if that’s what one wants to pursue. The same root cause is why they have Islamic terrorism and continued anti national behavior. They are welcome to go to the country they love and identify with - Pakistan.

I assumed this was fight for religion but they didn't spare muslims and it isn't about region because Kashmir was targeted

Not only that..their anti India propaganda dates back to 1982-83 when the azadi movement in kashmir gained pace ..

I faintly remember this incident , ofc not remember the details ..such incidents are tragic & the guilty must be brought to justice......but will kashmiri pandits get justice for the killings and rape ? Never ending atrocities against the army too by the terrorists , the locals also suffered at the hands of the terrorists ..it has been so disturbing..

Also we must not forget that the roots of this hatred lies in the 1947 partition ..the Pakistani tribals who attacked kashmir in 1948 were barbaric to the locals & women ..
