It's dhokli from atta and tur dal is used.

Bengali version is different dhokar dalna something.

Have eaten both dals

Rajasthan another one is gatte ki sabzi.

But that's different

Khandvi is snack type.

Requires lot of practice.

so the way my mom has made and taught me to make it, it looks similar to khandvi. i know there are other shapes to cook the pitod in but the way we have it cooked in our family, it essentially is like khandvi dipped in a gravy

My cook made thin batter of besan and sort of cooked like omlette

And gravy was normal onion tomato gravy

So this omlette type of pieces were added to this gravy
