could you forgive your best friend if...

hi everyone. i wanted to share a problem of mine with you all . basically i really used to like this guy called Ayaan 3 years back and he behaved like he liked me too but because of some problems we stopped even being friends. It took me about a year to get over him as i really liked him and after that my best friend Naima started dating him secretly just a year later and shes been seeing him for 2 years but only told me this yesterday. she lied to me soo much as earlier i thought she might like Ayaan because she was friends with him and always talked about him, but she always denied it and she told me they were more like brother and sister. then she later made up this false story that she was seeing and was in love with a guy called Rehaan and she would tell me how great he was, but yesterday she told me that it was Ayaan all along , the weird thing was i always had this suspicion that rehaan and ayaan were way too similiar in thier personalities. now she said they are planning to get married and engaged. now i don't know what to do. i don;t love ayaan anymore but i do feel really betrayed by them both but i'm finding it hard to imagine breakign my frienship with Naima since we have been best best friends since i was three years old. its not that im not happy for her its just a part of me has forgiven her and yet another part of me feels hugely betrayed and thinks that the kind of relationship she has with ayaan why don't i have that, basically i mean ayaan has moved on and yet i haven't liked anyone since him even though there have been some great men interested in me i never felt the same. so i just wanted to ask what would you do?and what advise would you give me. sorry this was so long. thanks to everyone who reads this and please reply. tc xxx

See...your friend was both right n wrong.

You had broken up with that guy so she was right in being with him..You didn't have a relationship with him anymore...so he was free to date whomever he wanted to, n so was your friend.

She was wrong in lying to you..maybe she didn't want to hurt you, or maybe she felt guilty n scared that you'd break off with her once you found out. Whatever the reason, her lies make her seem guilty.

You must be feeling pretty awful right now....so right now is not the best time to decide anything.

Give it a few days...tell your friend you'll talk to her after a few days....then sit n talk with her...ask her why she lied n tell her how you feel. Then do what you think is best.
You don't have to break off your friendship...just check out her reasoning n give yourself time n space to think. No hasty decisions.

yaa ur problem is realy sensetive...bcz she is ur best friend.....see what i want to say is first clear up things that duabts u with her but calmlly n with meturity... second thing lesin to her what is her excuses may be she is rigth in her place as u said she started dating her after one year of ur break up..but u both(u n ayaan) didnt say anything to each other as i understood from ur story....after lesning to her u decided wethear she did wrong that she didnt tell u bcz she didnt want u to be hurt therefore she didnt tell u or she had to tell u about that before n u will not be effected by their realathinship.. and lastly want to tell u one thing may be somene else is ur man not ayaan....just clear him from ur mind if u want to continue ur friendship with ur best friend.

okayy, honestly yur frend had da right to date him sine yu guys broke up. it would have been worserr if she dated him behind yur back when yu were STILL going out wid himm. but that's not da casee.

and in a way yur frend did wrongg.. if she knew that yu dated him she shouldnt have dated him denn..

would i forgive her?! Hmmm, hard question.. but if she's my best friend and dated that guy makes her happy then yess i'd forgive her 😊

FRANKLY SPEAKING, I have been trying to think of an advice for 30 minutes now. Everytime I'd write something and would erase it... thinking if I couldn't act upon what I was going to advice you for... so its useless.

thanks for all the advice you all gave. i've had time to talk to my best friend and i have thought about eveything. ive forgiven my friend and i don't feel bad anymore since i realised that their relationship doesn't effect me because i don;t love ayaan anymore and we are not meant to be and i honestly believe that i will find the one who is made for me and that he will be so good that i won;t dwell on the past, also im happy for my friend maybe her and ayaan were made for each other. inshallah i'll also find my true love in the future and be happier with him than i would have been with ayaan. 😊

aww thanks thats so sweet. yeah inshallah i will find someone better than ayaan after all i have faith in myself and most of all in allah as everything happens with his will so i honestly believe allah made this happen for my own good and now i feel great about everything. 😊
