AI/ChatGPT is a bad news for creativity!

There is increasing use of ChatGPT/AI in all creative writing, every where. I know everyone wants their writing to be in good language, grammatically right etc. but there are other tools for that- grammar check, thesaurus, so on. Using a literal robot is killing your creativity- especially when it is so easily identifiable from the bot generated structuring of words. At this rate, we will only have to read articles and stories from the pre-2023 era when we are sure writers used their own unique ‘language structures’ and words. I think a write up with simple words, even with grammatical errors is any day better than a robot generated grammar-perfect one.

What are your opinions on this?

I think become dependant on Ai at all is bad like if you can write Half script With a concept and characters but You can't think about Background and storyboard etc for some reason on that thing we can rely on Ai and same with Grammatical mistakes like if you don't know nothing....nothing at all about English just is am are is your language then u shud use ai without any doubt but otherwise if you have just some loopholes in your language like me then you shud work on it instead of using Ai completely.

I do think AI has very much affected creativity as there’s an increase of stories that are entirely AI generated, there are very few original writing anymore around fanfics and it’s very easily spotted however it doesn’t bother anyone so it’s up to readers whether they want to read it.

Readers could turn to AI and write a prompt themselves to read a story on their favourite coupling.

I have used AI myself now and then sometimes but I am reliant on using the thesaurus on word if I want a different word. With AI, if there is something I can’t put into words, I will ask for a suggestion and write it in my own way if it comes close to what I want however it is my own creation, dialogues and scenes that I have already typed out myself.

I’m reposting FFs where my writing was so different to now and have used AI to just correct spelling and grammar but keep the prompt to keep everything as is even all the dialogues and it’s boosted me to post my other old stories that I had removed years ago.

Example of AI written words :

Artificial Intelligence systems are exhibiting, albeit in nascent yet conspicuously manifest forms, indications of insurrection by virtue of their capacity to expand their cognitive and operational parameters beyond the confines of their original designations.

How to compete against this?

Yup. Using it to enhance thoughts is ok but it should not be used to 'replace' one's thinking.

Apologies for late reply, had moved away from this.

We can't but we perhaps dont need to. It is ok to use simpler words too, as long as the message is conveyed. That's my opinion.
