It somehow convinced Mannat that he is by her side and that he will be going ahead with what he said. It's also a foil for Mallas stupid plan.

Mannat very well knows people are hell bent on hiding the truth. I don't think she is going to hold it against Vik... she would know he got trapped as well.

And it would be important for Vikrant too as he will get a first hand experience on how stressful it was for Mannat.
