To be honest, I also would have preferred Karisma...and certainly n o t because of Abhishek's sister... I suppose that one of Abhishek's parents had been the one to push him into the marriage with Aishwarya.

I don’t believe that. Theirs truly was a love marriage. I’m not denying that the practicality of their union gained the approval of their parents. But the two of them genuinely fell in love on the set of Umrao Jaan.

Abhishek and Karishma’s relationship and engagement was an in love equation too. Shweta had no part in it. That article is weird and nonsensical.

Abhishek and Aish had worked together before 'falling in love' and felt a healthy friendship (which is something quite positive, imo)...then Dhoom 2 happened with Aish being like a 'catwoman' and the serious prospect of becoming Abhishek's wife.

Umrao Jaan was - imo - still a kind of working relationship.

The only movie - to me - where a changed intensity in their relationship got manifested professionally was Guru.

Another change happened - also imo - when Aish worked with Vikram (Raavanan).

No, they started dating during Umrao Jaan. I believe Abhishek had said as much in an interview years ago. Guru and Dhoom were shot either simultaneously or immediately back to back. There wasn’t any time gap between the shoots.

I never noticed any changes after Ravaan. I think the Vikram/Aishwarya angle is just some fantasy of some Ash fans or Abhishek haters. I think their issues are entirely their own issues and no third party is involved, IMO.

But they had worked a lot before that and I always liked their chemistry. They definitely had chemistry though their films never worked ( kuch na kaho songs are one of my favs) but I remember abhishek saying in an interview that he sort of had a crush on her during kuch na kaho and especially felt something while shooting a scene and he even mentioned the scene it's cute scene where they fall through a jungle or something . But actors lie all the time in the interview

If I remember right Abhi said in another interview that he didn't fall in love initially but that they had a very good friendship... yet it doesn't matter when as finally they fell in love and married. The change that came with Raavanan was that she didn't do another movie with her husband after Raavan and then Aaradhya was born in Nov 2011 which brought another major change.
