Should ARS be toned down?

And my mind went to other issues in the show.

We have seen different kinds of mothers in this show...and I plan to write a note on that later.

I have noticed everytime Mannat and ARS have showdown or Mannat talks to her directly, ARS has tears, angry tears . She is always furious later and always vows to finish her off, like she did when she was born. She always says Malla will be her only daughter. And maybe she will never ever love Mannat the way she does Malla.

But in India, we are obsessed with the whole motherhood zone, maternal instinct etc .an instinct, which seems to be absent for Mannat, as far as ARS is concerned.

Moor and I were discussing, if ARS got to know Mannat was the original target, would she at all react differently for once? Organically as a mother.

I for one, want to see her guilt, peep out. Maybe she gets panic attacks, maybe she gets visions of baby Mannat holding her finger...something.

Never should she back off because that is the basis of the story and the show. And it is the USP too.

Sometimes I feel TRP aunties may also want to see it??

That's why I made this poll. Please feel free to comment, and send your thoughts.

I want to see this... even if it's for a flicker of second... and no .. she does not have to like Mannat immediately... but she can show some concern..

We discussed this earlier how Bobby won't attack Malla... ARS probably knows this... so she is carefree on that aspect...

But even she doesn't know Bobby's target was Mannat...

ARS did show disgust at him, many times ... even hit him when he first got to know... that was as a woman... with Mannat there could be an added element of being her bio mom.

Let's see if Mukta takes this angle... I hope she does...

It’s just one thing I am hooked on. ARS, instinctively gets bothered just once when Mannat is in some danger. Then she can be evil again. But that one moment of maternal instinct.

I am only watching for mother-daughter interactions.

An unusual take on ITV Mom daughter dynamics... better than any other third angle situation

With this track Mannat has grown out of her admiration of ARS.. so the shift now has to happen from ARSs side.

Also I said this to Scarlett.... ARS doesn't lose... she has never got rejection from others... that has to shake her.... Mannats rejection ... even if she is not craving for it now... but that rejection has to sting somewhere... especially to ARS who prides upon winning every battle... this is the one she has lost!!!

Mona's expressions were too good in the mirror scene after the mooh kaala scene.

Yes even if she repents for a few minutes, she may be back to her original self as she's the main antagonist. Anyways she has no repentance for her past actions.

The scene where Mannat wipes her face on ARS s saree and when she says thank god she is not her mother, there was a flicker of pain in those eyes

Those watching her closely can perceive her hatred for Mannat but are unable to fathom why .

Gagan today raised a set of pertinent questions to her. He could sense har hatred, fear and how she gets triggered and her worst self surfaces whenever she sees Mannat.

Punnu and Raveena know rhe truth of the coffee spike and the freezer episode. Pushed to desperately have her way Raveena could blurt it out in public.

Whatever be the circumstances of Mannats birth and abandonment the woman has no qualms in planning her sisters death twice. The way she tramples over others and is so after material wealth she is bound to be abandoned by those around her. The conversation between Gagan and Vikrant foreshadows that i think.

@pink- When she was hitting Bobby for what he did, I was thinking the same. The way hef character is portrayed, I don't think there would be much difference. She would have probably gotten more angry, probably would have made sure she is taken care of but beyond that she would still cover up. Because for her her money and Mezbaani is very important. She wouldn't have let anyone tarnish it.

Moreover hasn't shown any maternal instinct towards Mannat till now. She didn't even get emotional when she came to know her daughter is alive. She just wants to get rid of her by hook or crook as Mannat reminds her of a life which she desparately left behind.

In case of Malla, she might have reacted differently. I kind of feel she would still cover up in front of the world but would never let bobby go scott free, probably would have punished him in hef own way or herself killed him.

But I wish they atleast slightly show her emotional regarding Mannat. It would make her a bit humane. They have made her just too dark like there is no way for her redemption. Sometimes I think there is a slight hint of pride in her the way Mannat fights back or does things as she is in many ways very similar to Ars unlike Malla but is overshadowed by her wish get rid of her and fear of her past coming out if Mannat ever knows the truth.

I echo many of the comments. Mannat vs ARS is the crux of the story and I love love their scenes.

At the moment, no I don't want ARS to tone down, the battle just started. But, I like the idea which you all proposed, her instincts make her help Mannat when she is in danger or if she finds out who was Bobby's real target
