No wonder they ruthlessly treat production houses as doormats and their audiences as stupid cash cows.

The favourites in their lineup of shows are open secrets. Giving desired slots and promotions to the bigger players and almost no promotions to the others. The production house has to resort to the bare minimum then: desperate PR. Those Mahasangams with few embarrassing scenes and dialogues here and there, what's the point? But then it's a money world. That's what speaks. It's honestly quite sad to see good things going down the drain.

@bold Someone explained on the Rishta forum that a channel promotes shows based on how much profit and trp ratings they bring in. Cause, airing a new promo during ad breaks costs the channel money because it cuts into the ad time. That’s why shows like Anupamaa, which give the channel high trp and profits, get frequent promotions and new promos every few weeks. Second Udne Ki Aasha gets lots of promotions too. Earlier, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin used to get a lot, but now it’s reduced — they only got one wedding promo recently. Shows like Rishta Kya and Jhanak usually get new promos only when something major or big is happening in the story.

Both Teju and Rutu have been throwing Neil under the bus and humiliating him. Even the mohhalle wali aunties know that shy aur shant ladke girls ko pasand nahi hote!! Lol the way they asked teju about her husband and her likingsmiley37smiley37

Juhi Teju Neil confrontation will be a good one.

I don't understand a bit how girls like Ritu and not Neil....the way in this show he is being shown with inferiority is funny yaar....

In first season I used to feel Samrat is pathetic as bro....but this Ritusmiley29

And ye show itna non sanskari kyun ho gaya, the way they casually discuss about HMsmiley16....and weird are those girls in logon ko half nude ladke ko taarne mein sharam nhi aati kya....smiley30

I just realised that Ruturaj has superiority complex over Neil as a person and inferiority complex over Neil as a doctor simultaneously! Alag hi zone mein hain rockstar saab. 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I don't think koi inferiority complex hai he just is annoyed of Teju choosing a financially stable guy leaving him as option after playing between two and how come someone can reject "The Ritu"....

I didn't understand how a rockstar can be compared to a doc....they are millionaires...

Baaki exception nhi ho....

This proves that audiences these days only like watching highly regressive shows and dont want to give any chance to freshness or anything different.

If you have read that post of ghum going off air on SM, it was really funny. It looked like some fan made news to me.

The recent episodes are bit good. Let's see how the trp will change

Probably IF should stop giving us such articles. And it is true that regressive shows like MAA get the highest viewership. Maybe they watch it online and on TV

I agree. These articles seem so pessimistic to the viewers who look forward to watching the show. Most of them are click bait though.

Regressive shows getting highest viewership, that's a systemic fault I feel. I absolutely refuse to believe that most people watch this. After all, the BARC data is based on a few fifty thousand households. The fact that our television choices are based on the whims of a miniscule percentage of viewers is saddening.

P. S. I don't have SM accounts as well. Glad to see a fellow happy soul :) smiley36

Most of us don't speak in the abnormally stupid language that most Millennials would like to imagine in real life. Perhaps on chat we do use abbreviations now and then, but that doesn't go out of hand like those embarrassing clips from a certain what's this relationship called show. And the recent influx of bubbly FLs from Gen Z in every other show on television right now is actually a distant thought. There are girls who like outward guys, but people, regardless of the gender, around me at least are usually into their own academics and business, liking humans who in general are a bit introverted, soft-spoken but firm and confident. We are quite social when it comes to work, but personally, most of us rarely like to interact with such overly extroverted creatures. Apne kaam se kaam rakhna is probably the motto of this generation when it comes to social life. smiley36

As for Rutu and even Neil, I can only sing, "Pyaar tumhe kis mod pe le aaya, ki dil kare haye, koi yeh bataye kya hoga?" smiley37

ITV is non sense even movies watch some crafts on web where they show GenZs as some unethical creeps who believe in multiple affairs and even that impulsive brats jo sirf sunaana jaante hain with no basic sense and knowledge....

Baaki ka I agree I am also the one and always remain aware of modern principles ke side effects....old school better feel hota hai....during my young teens ek alag craze tha of western stuffs then explored Indian culture ki beauty, man inter mein akal aa gayi....
