A good thing about fiction is any character can be redeemed. So they can Nikke ji too. If they put little effort.

But I will always love him. I am just going to ignore this version of him.

Abhir and Abhira are not perfect, especially Abhir. Can't support his EMA but not gonna stop loving him. He is docman's junior, Akshu's betu and Abhinav 's nikkiji

In the second season of PR, Ankita's biological daughter Ovi was the antagonist while her adopted daughter Purvi the protagonist. Both fall for the same man Arjun and then the dynamics of their love triangle developed.

Same can be developed in season 5 of yrkkh judiciously if Abhira adopts Abhiru's illegitimate child and her biological daughter becomes the PL.

Udaariyaan

In the second season, since the FL was infertile in first season, her adopted daughter Nehmat became the next FL.

In the third season, the biological daughter of the FL Nehmat, Aaliya became the antagonist while the biological daughter of the antagonist Harleen, Aasma became the protagonist.

Pandya Store

In Season 2 of this series not the FL's daughter but the daughter of ML's brother became the lead. It was a Star Plus show.

These seasons were HIT seasons of these shows.

In this show, bloodline is very important, they will never make an adopted child or child of a supporting character as the lead. Lead for next generation has to be the female from Akshara Maheshwari 's bloodline

Yep and as much as I hate this whole idea of bloodline "Legacy" given how they torture their FL for baccha .... Rajan Shahi has kept this as USP for THIS show! And I think it's just working well for the show ...

Baaki itne lambe list mein, TM completely missed out DKP ka neighbouring show with same theme of not being Anupamaa ki biological daughter (which btw still seems more successful than other flop leaps mentioned), Raahi/Aadhya/Choti is second line FL... To carry Upmaa ki "Legacy"...

There is absolutely nothing true to original generation of this show...

None of the shows mentioned had the whole legacy angle going on. This show on the other hand has always stuck to one core pattern, Akshara Maheswari's female descendants will always be the FLs. It is quite clear from the way each lead was introduced in different gens. And the funny part is, both the mentioned shows went back to show the og FL's blood as leads later on. In PR, it was not Pari, Purvi's daughter who was the lead. It was Soham's daughter Ankita. And in UD, Tejo's grand niece Aasmaa and her kids became leads over Nehmat's daughter. That itself implies that those shows did not have a consistent pattern like Rishta has had for years.

As much as I hate the whole surrogacy track and Abhira being such an irritating character for her own bacha, this has been a constant pattern for the show. And I don't think makers will change it now, especially not for some EMA kid of side characters.

I think in Ksbkbt...mouni Roy's character Krishna Tulsi was not related to Smriti Irani Tulsi...

And then that dangal show.. Man Sunder also had FL who was the adopted daughter

In Chandra Nandini... The boy and the girl leads after the leap was not biologically related to the FL
