Yups its 12ep give it try u will enjoy the show it will keep u hooked for sure also they keep revealing backstory little by little which will surprise you as audience.But stick to first 2ep

Well, Colors is more demanding for ratings than Zee.. not surprising.

Wanted to know if in Bhoolbhulaiya (Vidya Balan movie) there is any hint of sexual dissatisfaction shown - I have seen the movie but don't remember.

Just came across an analysis of the OG Malayalam one and turns out her sexual dissatisfaction with the ML was one of the core issues that leads to the complications in the movie. I may have watched the og movie couple of dozen times... but this angle never occurred to me. They kept it all covert... never showed it explicitly - and when they did they showed it as the shenanigans of the alter personality. well... a 1993 movie... watched around the same time too... and in 2025 I learn a new angle to it that was never obvious! [The beauty in their writing and execution!]

I felt the Bhool bhulaiya movie focused more on Akshay and his talent in solving Avni's (Vidya Balan) disassociate identity disorder than any focus on the couple- even less on the sexual dissatisfaction between the ML and Avni. (By ML hope you meant her husband played by Shiney Ahuja) They did have a romantic song on them.. so no sexual dissatisfaction as far as I can remember... Avni focused more on Manjulika's injustice of how the king/Shiney killed her lover, played by same actor both in Manju's time and Avni's time, instead of paying/honoring him. Also they correlated her daadi's stories to orphaned Avni in making her sympathetic to Manju. (From what I remember)

Yup... by ML I meant her husband.

And yes... thats pretty much the impression I had about the og one too - but it had less focus on the Doctors abilities (guess it will be lesser than in Hindi) and no romantic song there - one song shown, but its connected to the whole theme.

Anyways.. this was a new thing I came to know about 'only' today... may have to watch it again to appreciate it. Loved it that they kept it all covert - available as hints if one wants to look at it, but never showed it explicitly.

Avni as a kid was left with her grandma as kid while her parent for job shifted to america.So as kid she was shown lonely growing up with her grandma who use to read her stories.When grandma was unwell they thought of taking her back with them then she showed sign of anger since she didn't want to go was taken forcefully.Basically she was fascinated abt stories.More in books and stories

ML was shown ancestor of kings family.When she hears manju's story she started showing more interest.Manju and her lover met in king organized functioned they fall in love but old king liked manju her beauty and dance..... he came to know abt manju and lover going to runaway on durgastmi he called manju to perform Dance on same day he killed shashidar infront of her and later locked her up to get married...... the day of marriage manju hanged herself and ended her life and left a letter that she sworn her aatma won't let any king live in that palace.After that kingdom faced destruction and they performed ritual and looked 2souls in that room.

She as a manju was shown more interested in that sharad prahlad poet and lecturer guy there was a scene where she was trying to force her on him.But only when she is more of manju.He was shown as FL fav poet since she had his books too even before she become manju

Pretty similar in the og too. ML FL were shown happy together there too (and it was the outside or overt case too).. but ye wala angle bhi tha... jo ab pata chala. Else the scene where she is waiting in bed and he is busy working... I had not thought much about it.
