The next three days are going to see the hottest of Bollywood stars flaunting their best as they come together for the 'IIFA Fashion Extravaganza' at Bangkok.
And while it comes as no surprise that glamour and envy will be in the air, what will be worth looking out for is the battle between arch rivals Priyanka and Kareena as they walk the ramp for Rohit Bal and Manish Malhotra respectively.
The evening will see the current style diva of Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor flying to fit into some global-appealing bridal wear, which will include black attire and her favourite 'lehengas', for her favourite designer Manish.
The actress will fly directly from Australia one day before the fashion extravaganza which translates into no costume rehearsals and subsequently sleepless nights for Manish Malhotra. Speaking to Indiatimes Movies, the designer said, "I have been told that Kareena will be the star show stealer for my collection and now that she is a size one, I have to work doubly hard to get the clothes to fit perfectly."
While Kareena may have a tough time fitting in her newly acquired size one figure into costumes that she has not rehearsed for, if anything it only means a brownie point for rival Priyanka Chopra who is looking to promote her and close friend Harman's film 'Love Story: 2050' at the event.
Adding to her glory for the evening will be co-ramp walker Harman who's being talked about for his resemblance with the actor with Greek god looks, Hrithik Roshan.
And if that wasn't enough, the fact that Manish who is the ultimate icon when it comes to styling in Bollywood has been a close competitor of Rohit Bal – the designer's who's synonymous with the Indian fashion industry – will only make the tussle intense.
And while the two divas will leave no stone unturned to hog the maximum limelight, it is only time that will reveal the real winner.
Meanwhile, also trying their hand at ramp walking will be De Taali's star cast Aftab Shivdasani, Ritesh Deshmukh and Ayesha Takia for designer Vikram Phadnis.
casing the look of their upcoming films by setting the stage on fire will be Zayed Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Shriya Saran, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Nikitin Dheer and Shweta Bharadwaj of 'Mission Istanbul'.
Will this one be a "fatigue" line, keeping in with the theme of the film.
Fardeen Khan will be the only actor amongst these former models like Dino Morea, Dia Mirza and Aftab Shivdisani when they walk the ramp.
But for their film,'Acid Factory', which has just begun its first schedule in Hyderabad, all four are knee deep in rehearsals trying to get the perfect look and walk for the D Day.
This Fashion Extravaganza will see a virtual galaxy of stars giving the IIFA and its patrons something to cheer about.
