Pata hai , I used to believe that he's actually ACP , the head officer of crime branch and it's a documentary type program. That's how special , unique and one of a kind aura he had. Never felt like he's acting.

100% agreed there. While I wouldn't have liked it that someone other than Daya or Abhijeet were ACP, if they brought in someone like Sharad Kelkar or Rajeev Khandelwal or Eijaz Khan then that would have been acceptable. KSG agreed as well. Not the best choice but yeah he could pull it off. Heck even Barun Sobti could pull it off. He did a great job in Asur with Arshad Warsi and I could see him being ACP here as well.

I don't know enough about younger lot, but there are some actors I've seen in FB videos or stuff that could play this role well. And I used to watch that Apni Khaki spin-off of Savdhaan India. Even that had some younger actors in the main lead role who could do a great job as ACP.

I have 2 main issues - (1) What type of an ending is this for ACP Pradyuman? I understand that officers die. That's real. But that is not an acceptable ending after all these years and after all these times of showing him to be some type of superhero. It's just not acceptable. Have him retire for god's sake! (2) If you don't want to promote Abhijeet or Daya to ACP then fine, but at least have an actor who can pull off the role of an ACP with conviction and won't look like some kid playing dress-up.

(1) Yes, officers, cops etc sacrifice their lives fighting crimes and it's understandable. I wouldn't mind having ACP Pradyuman sacrifice his life but it has to be heroic, no? He is literally the seniormost officer, the leader and he dies in such a ridiculous manner? Not even taking Barboza with him in death but just die in a damned bomb explosion with Barboza surviving? ACP Pradyuman over the years has established his own legacy... His ending should be one that pays respect to that.

(2) Definitely. If they don't want to promote Abhijeet or Daya, fine... But a new ACP for the team should be someone who actually looks the part. Who can pull off the role with conviction, who has the persona and the charisma matching the post of the ACP, the leader of the team.

I could name 3 actors at the top of my mind who has the same screen presence as Aditya Sir and Daya Sir and could become ACP (although still inspector Abhijeet will always be the 1st choice to step up to the role of ACP imo.
