Its the time slot. It happened with the last sitara show i watched- SAAKK- also a Bengali remake- it was a good show, but the timing, I guess it was 7 pm slot. It had a good plot, got quite famous online too, infact it is one of those shows which has increadible number of fanfictions written on it- the most I have seen till date, and that too not stupid 13 year old girl's, but mature young adults as the writers with actually great content. And I guess it was the first show for which numerous twitter trends were done until it became a fashion. But still it off aired due to low trps, because sitara couldn't think of anything other than the numbers. The only issue was it's time slot as it was more enjoyable for a relatively younger Audience but the time slot was not suitable for the young adult audiences so not many could watch it on tv. I sometimes feel sitara doesn't deserve such good, modern, non stereotypical stories like PMA and SAAKK- and many other stories that started on sitara in the name of empowerment and modernization but ended up in that cliche well. I also feel audience for the very same reason don't want to watch star plus anymore. Had it been on SONY TV, shows like these would have gotten a better response I guess because there is still a hope from that channel to bring fresh content and not the rotten saas bahu drama.
