Never heard of Aadar Malik. I assumed Annu Malik had only one brother.

Hote hain... Many times. But you can still detach yourself while fulfilling your responsibilities. But keeping yourself your first priority becomes very difficult if you really love your parents. Maybe 2nd priority in that case.

I thought that emotional/psychological abuse by parents was less discussed only in the Indian diaspora. But then I moved to the West; It's the same story everywhere: being gaslighted, invalidated, branded as ungrateful, etc. I got lucky with my parents, but I witnessed enough parents who never acknowledge, accept, take accountability or apologise for hurting their own children.

Two. Dabboo and abu. Dabboo ke bacche are those singer composer brothers. Abu ka ek ladka Aadar "comedian" hai, baaki pata nahi.
