If you were given the chance to step into a time machine and visit any historical era, which one would you choose, and why? Would it be to witness a pivotal moment, meet a legendary figure, or experience life in a completely different age?smiley42

If I could travel back in time, I would choose to visit Ancient Egypt during the reign of Cleopatra VII. She was the last active ruler of Egypt, a brilliant strategist, and a skilled diplomat who played a pivotal role in history. It would be fascinating to witness her intelligence in action, see how she navigated alliances with Julius Caesar and Mark Antony, and experience the grandeur of Egypt before it became part of the Roman Empire. Understanding her true legacy beyond the myths would be an unforgettable experience.

If I ever got a chance to do that, I am going to visit the Mahabharat times, meet all the people involved, especially Shakuni mamasmiley36smiley37 and Krishna and Karn, Arjun, and Draupadi ofc.

Mahabharat is so fascinating as except for Krishna, there is no character who is totally positive or negative, everybody is grey shaded, some light and some dark. It's so human and I love it!

Few days ago, I came across a video where one of the female archeologists suggested that she might be on the way to find Cleopatra's tomb, aur fir kya tha I started reading so many references about it, it's fascinating how archeologists are attracted towards structures and their historysmiley42

If I were to get a time machine and have a chance to go back in past, I would plan a baby swap an exchange myself with some rich family babysmiley37

Jokes aside, if I got such a chance I would love to the Gupta Empire (4th–6th Century CE) as it's known as the Golden Age of India and dude, I wanna meet Aryabhata!

Also, I would only visit and come back because I don't think I would survive in ancient timessmiley37

I want to visit kashi, Dwarika, Vrindavan, Kedarnath, Ayodhya, Tirupati (especially the south India, their architecture is mind blowing so would love to visit them in their prime) and many such cities of ancient India, i want to experience their old charm and peace, the real serenity in those streets, then I would love to visit Rajasthan, those forts are worth a ride.

Mahabharat and Ramayan Era are always on top of my list, somebody please give me a time machine rn😭

I am definitely gonna go and visit Mauryan empire and meet King Ashoka the great! I am extremely intrigued by "The Secret Society of Nine Unknown Men" and Emperor Ashoka is said to have founded that secret society. So, it's a must that I visit and try unveil some secrets of that secret society. Or maybe become a part of it and just stay back in the past.

In my recently concluded South India trip, I saw Mysore Palace.

While wandering through the palace, I fantasized about revisiting the era when the royal court was packed with subjects, admiring the majesty of the palace and how the King interacted with his poets and warriors, among other things.

History has taught us many amazing experiences, but the future is dismal due to the current world leaders. I'd rather love to live in the serene past than in the chaotic future!
