My paternal aunt adopted a baby girl who was left abandoned in an auto rickshaw. She had a son of her own and it took her two years to adopt the girl.

And my cousin adopted a girl child as well, they were scheduled to get her in 2020, had done all the paperwork but due to corona they had to wait another two years. They were finally able to bring her home in 2023.

No idea how my mom cousin got so fast the abonded kids ..maybe small town and the amount of social work he does gave him some influence..he organises a lot of blood donation and cataract operation camps since his college days.

Plus this was 2 decades back the boy is now 22 and girl is about 20

My aunt and uncle, both are lawyers at Supreme Court and had a son of their own already so it was a bit easier for them I think.

And they adopted her 25 years ago, she is married now.

As for my cousin, it took them 3 years, waiting for a baby, then a long list of paperwork, multiple background checks, property assessments and everything else before they were to get their baby girl in 2020 but then corona came and another 2.5 years of wait.

They were hoping if they could bring in a baby so she will be able to adjust with them easily but they got her on her 5th birthday.

In real life, Useless sa and his clown wife wouldn't be able to adopt considering their past record, their unstable relationship and current financial state

Adoption is not an easy thing so they will definitely have to settle for a surrogacy.
