They have gone too far . It was always implied that Kaveri n Sanjay were behind the breakup of Shivani and Madhav creating misunderstandings..

I had expected that Shivani would come back later married to some other man or an independent lady.. so that it is shown similar games had been played with Abhira

but they showed Kaveri n Vidya being cahoots.. putting Shivani in ashram for 30 years even when she came back Vidya showed no remorse was willing to se d her back to jail
