Saif property case has been going on since 2015. It's not a recent news or shock for anyone in the family.

I don’t think they’re friends. But going forward they’ll be very friendly (in a respectful way) with each other now that the ice has been broken sort of speak.

There are videos of them greeting each other normally. I can’t find it now.

Kartik and Kriti greeted each other many times...but he was more friendly with Kareena and Madhuri as he met them recently I guess.

Kriti spoke more to Shahid as they had done a movie recently.

People even forgot that post their wedding Shahid and Kareena starred in Udta Punjab together, and though they didn't share the screen together there, they promoted the film together.

Shahid even worked with Saif in Rangoon, so it's apparent that their families get along together even if not mushy-gushy. And since Shahid-Kareena openly talked for the first time in front of the media for such a long time, that's why perhaps it's getting so much of attention.
