A Crucial Battle

New Zealand managed to set India a target of 252 runs in the Champions Trophy final at the Dubai International Stadium. Daryl Mitchell was the Black Caps’ top scorer with 63 runs while Michael Bracewell scored an unbeaten half century to guide India past 250-run mark. For India, Varun Chakaravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav have claimed two wickets each so far. Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja have also chipped in with one wicket each.

While runs were tough for New Zealand to come by, Bracewell's allowed them to breach the 250-run mark. Mitchell Santner became the seventh New Zealand wicket to fall, getting run out thanks to a brilliant piece of work in the deep by Virat Kohli. The captain sacrificed his wicket to ensure Bracewell remained on strike and give New Zealand the kind of finish the team wanted.
