Yes he did, and that adds a whole new angle to this discussion. How is he reacting to his wife and most of his in laws having some form of mental health struggle? His oldest sister in law and his father in law are recovering alcoholics too.

When Alia was there with her two sisters and they were talking about mental health issues, she was shocked and said she never experienced that. Look after being married to clout chaser or dating her match, she is diagnosed with mental health issues. So many have anxiety but it depends on how you deal with it.

Ponders as in wonders what happened and tries to understand them? I doubt it. He doesn’t seem like an empathetic individual at all. Best case scenario he leaves his family members with mental health issues alone and doesn’t discuss it with him.

He made fun of and embarrassed Anushka about her anxiety and medication on camera. I hope he’s not having any input into how Alia deals with her anxiety. The pihalod incident was bad enough for a person with body image issues.

Maybe Alia felt no need to be anxious about herself at that time...but that certainly started to change when a Karan Johar told her that her bodyshape wasn't the right one for her role in SOTY...

My honest opinion and speculation, I think she’s always had issues. I think unfortunately mental illness runs in her family. At the time of that panel conversation with her family members she may have not realized or become aware of her own issues. Yes I do believe that her marriage exasperated her issues. I don’t think her marriage caused her issues though.

This isn’t the first time she’s talked about this. A few years ago she mentioned getting very sad at times and said Ayan Mukerjee was one of her sounding boards that she talked to about her feelings.
