The rise of parallel cinema?The parallel cinema movement/rise was in the 80's by Shyam Benegal, Govind Nihlani, Mrinal Sen and artistes like Om Puri,Naseer,Smita,Shabana, Farrok Sheikh Deepti Naval to name a few.

for us, parallel cinema meant Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee
