His entry in Season 1 was also a similar one with him working undercover in that designer studio/company/factory whatever it was where they smuggled drugs by stitching them in the inseams of the clothes made by them.

So, it was kinda expected that they'll show him doing similar work after leaving CID team.

Well, I believe and I hope he is a permanent part of the show now... After all, he was once an important character in the show. So it makes sense for him to be a permanent part of the cast.

The show is still going on on tv......

The sponsers are Increasing of CID Day by day which is Good thing I guess as They Also Increase whenever any Show wud be doing good...
