Uh oh. It looks like it's drizzling in Rawalpindi at the moment. The square and run-up areas are under covers.

MKashif: "believe me @Satyajeet, it was drought like situation here recenty, and now we are seeing rain. Thank you SA :)"

Sami: "As good as Pakistan has been hosting this tournament, it's a poor decision to hold matches in Pindi during these months. It's severely cold, always raining. Imo Multan could've been a better venue, it's also a better stadium since it was relatively recently refurbished."

Ben Brettell: "Big question mark over the pitch today. Obviously it has a reputation as an absolute road, but it didn't play like that yesterday. Whoever bats first will have a big challenge deciding what a good score looks like." -- Yup, and that only becomes more complicated with the weather around.

Both teams have strong batting lineups and that raises the expectations of a high-scoring clash. Whenever these two teams lock horns in an ICC event, there’s always excitement and thrill around! In the 2023 ODI WC semi-final, the Proteas were restricted to a modest score of 212 by Australia. The Protean bowlers however put their best foot forward and pushed the Aussies to the hilt. Australia managed to scamper through to a tense 3-wicket victory in the death overs. Will we see a run-fest this time around? Whichever team wins today, they will bolster their chances to make it to the semi-finals. The team losing today’s contest will face a do-or-die situation in their final group game. Let’s hope the rain clouds stay away. Toss and team lineups will be announced shortly...

1.25pm The scheduled toss is five minutes away, but that seems unlikely right now. The drizzle is still very light, but the covers remain.

Laraib Rabbani: "Bracing for a downpour of runs too in Rawalpindi today!"

Manan: "Yes. We didn't see proper rain here before February since August. SA magic. "

The toss was supposed to take place now but it's still drizzling. The main cover was taken off a while back with the drizzle having stopped momentarily but it has made a return. The conditions are pretty gloomy.

Hi,

If toss and team lineup is delayed, can we send our predictions late?
By what time do we need to send?

Yes, you can wait until the toss and the announcement of the playing 11 before sending the predictions.

You have to keep an eye. I can't tag everyone every time the toss is delayed for this match or for any other match.

Whatever time they announce as official match time, you can submit until that time.

Please remember, you have to send me predictions before the first ball is bowled for that match.

Cheers..
