Don’t forget the lean phase he had before RamLeela where he was doing TV serials. SLB became superstar director AFTER he delivered 3 consecutive hits with Ram Leela, BM and Padmaavat.

So what With SLB.. Ranbir gave BBs with Hirani and Vanga who themselves are brand. It doesnt take anything away from Ranbir’s performance or his star presence in these films!!

Argument if Vicky came be a superstar whats wrong with Ranveer then. For me neither are superstars

None of them are superstars, not yet at least. All of them need at least one or all three of good content, a good director and a good heroine.

oh God..pls..you did not say that singh contributed to his second innings..SLB is a perpetual superstar..1,2 duds could have never written him off..and if anything after SLB..it was deepika who primarily carried those movies on her name esp ramleela when she was coming with 4 back to back hits not ranveer for sure who saw his first hit with ramleela

I never said that. You are the one who was discrediting everyone else. I am just trying to present to you a more nuanced perspective. If you have watched these movies, you will not discredit Ranveer’s part in their success. Tomorrow let’s say SLB delivers all duds and Ranveer becomes a real superstar. Are we going to discredit SLB and attribute everything to Ranveer? It doesn’t work that way.

And, what is this perpetual superstar? Was he born as one? He wasn’t the superstar that he is today, before RamLeela… you probably forgot all about it but audiences weren’t even willing to give his RamLeela a chance, thanks to his previous disasters. It’s the gradual WOM that made the movie a hit.
