Usually actors who are new or not popular do 7pm and 9pm dramas. They are in B category. Once an actor becomes famous he stops working in these slots. There are many examples like Usama, Sehar, Ali Raza, Komal meer and Anmol Baloach who used to work in those slots but their one or two famous dramas made them lead for 8 pm slot. Now they are A-listers.

Lekin ARY ke 7pm ya 9pm dramo ki quality better hoti hai compare to other channels. ARY ke 7 ya 9pm ki quality Hum tv ke bahut se 8pm drama se bhi better hoti hai.

Also Ramadan dramas(not talking about Naqaab as it's not a ramadan drama) even though they come at 9pm or 7pm have same stature as 8pm dramas. Isliye A-lister ki list jo aapne di hai usme Laiba Khan ko bhi include kar sakte hai shayad. Her drama Sitaron se Aagay currently airing on express tv at 8pm & her Ramadan drama will air at 9pm on Geo. Her next drama with Mikaal could also be a 8pm drama & it could replace Daayan starring Mehwish & Ahsan.

I assumed 7 p.m & 9 p.m dramas were daily soaps and 8 p.m ones were weekly/ bi-weekly dramas, especially on geo.

But mostly actors who got one hit drama they refused to do for 7pm and 9 pm slots. Ali raza rejected many offers of these slot dramas.

But Ali ansari got 2 big hits dramas with billion views than why he is not getting to work with big actress or 8 pm slots. Usama is doing back to back big dramas with Alister actress even though he doesn't have a big hit in terms of views as compared to Ali. Then why not Ali??

Zavier and Azan ka we can understand how they are getting all big projects.

Ramzan dramas has another case. Because these are special dramas made for only one month.

Ali ko shayad farq nahi padta ke drama 8pm hai ya 7pm kyuki usko 7pm par bhi shayad utna hi paycheck milta hoga jitna 8pm par milta hai. 8pm par achhi script ke liye wait kare to phir bahut time tak kaam nahi milta. For male actors money matters kyuki unko family ka bhi dyhaan rakhna hota hai. Ab Wahaj ko hi dekh lo achchi khasi paycheck aur top billing mil rahi thi to supporting role bhi kar liya SMD me.

7pm & 9pm dramas are daily soaps on every channel not just on Geo. 8pm dramas are prime dramas & they come in weekly/biweekly format. Ramadan dramas are special case as they are both daily dramas as well as prime dramas.

From the budget and cast, I thought 9 pm toh definitely hoga. Isn't Ali too big to be doing 7 pm dramas anymore?

Agar yeh 7 pm hai toh 9 pm pe konsa drama bharam ko replace karega?

I feel ARY has realized that a very strong 7 pm lead-in is essential to retain viewership for 8 and 9 pm slots. So they seem to be really upping the game for the 7 pm slot. No more unknown C D listers and low budget slop at 7 pm anymore. Even Tark e Wafa was 7 pm and that had Mohib.
