Just my two cents on Neil....I am not comparing Rosh di bas analyse kar rha hoonsmiley9....

Haan as PPl are concerned ye chalta phirta green forest dark na ho jaaye- MCP types....I think show is meant for dramas I am not a fan of regular kalesh but still when differences come and leads unite after that toh ek alag bond hota hai otherwise sirf achcha toh filmy lagega na....

Jaise I watched 1st season Sairat had different level of craze....they were nowhere a match, Virat wasn't a green forest, Sai was toh brat but still it worked because of the foundation as they were associated to conditions, where the girl's dying father gave her hand to a responsible officer and then he followed till end even her dreams.....so the journey of different personalities developing love and value for their relationship while having their own flaws was quite practical....it wasn't like a South Indian movie ka definition of love- I saw a girl oh she is damn bas ho gaya pyaar....no it was a process where they both got jealous, had their own insecurities, commited mistakes and had different opinions even parted ways but still got back fo eo.....

So if Neil will just be patnivrata....and good in everything toh couple bahut fika nhi ho jaayega, actually I know even myself liked his decent boy side....par agar uske saath they add more colours that he used to like a girl too, he feels possessive to her if she is close to a guy, he loves his family and can't be always on same page as of wife and some of the times harsh reactions because of own side then it won't be wrong imo....infact his character will grow a lot in my eyes why I said all this.....

I used to like Virat when he was ideal man types in start but when they started adding his own layers like anger/ego, family oriented side, insecurities, harsh reactions and other responsibilities where he was managing everything and was having his own problems.....serials ka FL ki taraf biasedness one side, but I like when they make characters human than superhuman.....same goes for Neil here, unpopular opinion par agar woh bechara mahaan ML banega and teju would be weird toh I won't like the story....

I never said the character was illiterate it's haters that said it. I read IF article and saw SM comments, I decided to watch the episode and the FL was reading dadi letter to the ML and in hindi so I was confuse how is she illiterate, and I realized it's English she can't read or speak cause she didn't know the word surprise. Which is the dumbest reason to call someone illiterate

My two cents in all this is the same thing that i said ki the characters are too unserious about each other. Like tejaswini ka angst bhi neil ke liye jaldi khatam ho gya they could've stretched that. Ps Neil comes across as a character who respects someone's space a lot like agar uske core character par rahenge toh he wouldn't even bother like usko bura lagega if he sees ritu and teju together after marriage but woh utna tamasha nhi karega jitna normally mls karte hain. Which is what not attracting the viewers. And issue itv ke saath yeh hai that they do not explore the grey shade mls are too toxic or too submissive. I haven't seen season 1 so I can't really say unka kya scene tha. But they could've shown thoda introvert guy x extrovert girl ka trope in a fun way to keep people engaged. And usko thoda sa bhi reactive banane ke liye uske character ko thoda reform karna padega

Thanks for the tag. I definitely agree with the spirit of your opinion. Unfortunately the execution of it these colours is often very toxic and hurtful to watch. The ML directs more often than not his anger/ego/insecurities towards the FL who is supposed to simply absorb it all, rather than both fighting and making up like a couple over such things. But if done well, I agree it is so much more interesting to watch because there is depth.

Yes it's maddening to call someone illiterate cause they can't speak English and isn't even her language or nationality to speak it. smiley36smiley36
