Netizens REJECT Pranali Rathod as new female lead of Kumkum Bhagya

Kumkum bhagya, one of the longest running shows on television, recently underwent a generation leap, post which, Abrar Qazi and Rachi Sharma, the last leads of the show called it quits. After their exit, Akshay Bindra and Pranali Rathod were roped in to essay the new leads of the show. While fans of the actress were eagerly awaiting her return on television after her last show 'Durga' tanked off, looks like the actress' return has left Kumkum Bhagya viewers mighty disappointed.

Viewers of Kumkum Bhagya flooded X (formerly twitter) to express their disappointment on the actress' character in the show and some also went ahead to call it a 'fall of the legacy of Kumkum Bhagya.' One user wrote, ''Omg 4th gen fl Angad hai😱😭What a fall to the legacy. From Pragya being Clg professor to Prachi being collrge topper n Businesswoman, to Purvi being a trainee B. Ed student to Prarthana being illiterate. Wat a terrific downfall 😵?💫#KumkumBhagya.'' Another wrote, ''Yeah I hated that fact it's like ekta is happy promoting the idea that illerate fl are only the sweet innocent type even preeta was a doctor.''

One user also stated that Pranali lacked the charm the previous female leads of the show had and wrote, ''Yet another reason why I can't relate prarthana with the previous gen fls. She's an illiterate. The charm that Pragya prachi and poorvi had possessed seems to be lacking in her tbh never liked gen 3 but this one is even a bigger disappointment #KumkumBhagya.''

For the uninformed, Pranali, who rose to fame with her stint in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was last seen in Colors TV's Durga. While expectations from the actress were high, her show Durga could not meet them and eventually tanked off due to the poor ratings. The actress is now back as the new lead of Kumkum Bhagya.
