Been saying the same forever. Ranbir & Vicky will rule the roost. While others like Ranveer, Varun, Tiger, Kartik, Imran earlier etc have had some success, it's either been on a smaller scale, relegated to Tier 1/Multiplex Cities or credit has been shared with an A list director(Bhansali/Rohit Shetty) or A list co-stars( War, Padmavat, BB3 etc).

Vicky has found success on all 3 fronts. Mass/Single screens (Uri), Tier 1 Cities( Sam Bahadur) & Overseas. More importantly he hasn't needed Bhansali or Rohit Shetty or Deepika Padukone.

Lastly, no other actor other than Ranbir has had this sort of Success. Chaava is on route to 400 Cr and none of these dudes have even smelled 300 Cr and certainly not as a stand alone solo film.

In short, BOI is absolutely right. A Star is born!

I guess, people here have different perceptions about what being a star means...

Vicky has battled a lot of stuff within the industry. Deepu had refused to work with him in Padmaavat..He was dropped from Ashwathama because they doubted his star power..that uesless KJO had caused some damage to his reputation by leaking that ganja fookne wala vid of Vicku..he has navigated some tough terrains..survived and now is a proper bankable star. Even when Zara hatke Zara bachke opened to decent numbers after Covid..it was established that Vicky can guarantee decent openings. Bad Newz got the opening as well ONLY because of Tauba Tauba and Vicky's dance in it. He has been called dirty looking and what not here by the benevolent fandoms, who are pretending now to be Vicku's supporters, they dint even like it when he was the better performer in Sanju..I cant wait for him to walk away with lots of accolades and better chemistry with Aloo as well in Sangam remake.. sure even I dont think he is a great looker..but actor he sure is..

Vicky doesn't need BOI's validation to be called a star. His BO numbers speaks for itself.

Vicky is easily the best of the lot and he deserves all the accolades coming his way. He painstakingly put together one incredible performance after another and built what he has today.And unlike the industry star and privileged man child who needed his wife and her daddy to whitewash him, what he has is not because of the industry falsely propping him up or serving roles on a platter. He didn’t need a Vanga or a misogyny filled crappy content to reach to where he has. He doesnt need generational fan following every fan he has is his own, not because of his last name or baap dada.And what more, he also doesn’t need VFX or foot lifters or a wig.

This article is PR, and it’s not Vicky’s. Since Gangu and Sanju have no chemistry they’re creating buzz this way for their new movie, that costars Vicky of course
