Yup. Even though some had their own toxic elements in some way, they still had a rewatch value. These days the itv experience itself is kinda ruined.

It was a mixture of both but somehow they made it work. Kucch age factor bhi tha. 16 ki age me nothing seems better than a vampire-human love story. Plus the leads always kept each other at the top of their priority list and never felt shy to express their feelings. And even love stories of supporting characters were quite complex and nuanced.

Honestly, in my opinion, Indian shows lack simplicity. If you look at Pakistani shows their heroines wear less make up. They don't use loud background music. These characteristics make their shows realistic.

Actually there are plenty Indian shows but they fell under the radar as they don't have solid promotion. Life OK had one show Ek Tha Chandar, Ek Thi Sudha. The show was too beautiful and had brilliant realistic acting. But it wasn't noticed much. Similarly Stories by Rabindranath Tagore in Epic TV never got its due.

So, do you want to watch upcoming show Aami Dakini (I'm Dakini) on Sony? Aahat's makers have created this show. But I'm not interested because it's a horror comedy. I'm more interested in scary horror shows.

Sometimes, viewers don't accept different shows as well. For example- I watched Keh Doon Tumhe (a Star plus show). I watched all of the episodes of the show. The male lead was a serial killer and the female lead was a divorcee. It was a thriller. The show couldn't survive.
