I disagree with second point. Ekta gave the most iconic love stories and jodis in her heyday: Anurag-Prerna, Kashish-Sujal, Anurag-Tani, Prem-Heer, Piya-Abhay and bgms were chef's kiss.

I also think Ekta ruined TV. Her style wasn't good at all. Extremely melodramatic, loud music, loud make up, weird editing were significant aspects of her shows. That's why PewDiePie (a famous Swedish YouTuber) made fun of her show's video clip. Also, the makers of ITV can show so much! They can show various types of interesting stories. But they mainly choose to show saas bahu dramas.

Personally mujhse Gul and Shahi ke shows nahi jhele jaate. Ekta ke shows deteriorated after Bhagya series. For some reason, I find Gul's shows and characters very irritating. Shahi sometimes does good in Ghar ki Panchayat genre but his love stories are too bad.

Actually some scenes of hers are too memorable. Like when Prerna runs barefoot in her Pink Salwar kurta and red dupatta on hearing about his death. Shweta Tiwari's acting was mind blowing. Tulsi's reaction on Mihir's death and when she sees Mihir again at the day of her second marriage. Tere Liye show was brilliant if they hadn't messed up the ending. Abhay-Piya's chemistry with Dil Ibaadat playing.

I saw some episodes of Pyar Ki Ye Ek Kahani and I think they copied a lot of things from The Vampire Diaries and Twilight. The show wasn't very original.

I used to watch Nazar (Gul Khan's show) and I liked it. The story was good. Actually, I'm interested in supernatural shows. My favourite genre is horror.
