1. I think, ITV should stop showing male leads as billionaire CEOs with physical appearance of Greek Gods whose only problem in life are mother/father/ex issues after which they cannot fall in love. Show male leads who are work in progress financially, in terms of personality and looks.
2. Give male leads their own independent dreams and ambitions independent of 'love'. The last serial that showed this was Diya Aur Baati Hum where Sandhya Beendni was as supportive of Suraj's dream to win MasterChef as he was of hers to become an IPS officer.
3. Make male characters fully realised personality who have existence beyond their family and marriage. Don't reduce their existence to a prop existing solely to create conflict and obstacles for female lead/to support female lead's dreams.
