Love the long post and for trying to decipher Talha's state of mind...
He is seriously confused and you are right he is assuming a lot about Roshi! He has made up his mind (and built a mental wall) that he will not look beyond the age gap issue with Roshi and is just looking for excuses to avoid the marriage topic with her.
And so I think in the next episode he will give that full of life girl Roshi the biggest rejection of her life... so that the chapter closes once and for all... and he will also close the doors and hopes on Sabeeka as well. Especially since I think Sabeeka will trigger him about Roshi (perhaps badmouth Roshi in front of Talha)
Back to square one for Talha Ahmed - me, my father, and Mohid!

If Talha strongly believes that no girl will ever be happy with him and he’s undeserving of anyone’s love & care, it should have been valid for “any girl” that comes into his life. Talha tells his dad in the coffee scene that it’s unreasonable to expect any girl to accept Mohid too along with him.
On one hand, he claims that no girl would be happy assuming Mohid's responsibilities, while on the other hand, he states that he is willing to get married as per his father's wishes, except for Roshi🤦♀️🤷♀️ How can Talha be so sure that new random girl whom Abid uncle will bring for him, would accept Mohid as her own, treat Abid with respect, love Talha, be mature, be responsible ? Isn’t Talha confused as hell ?🤷♀️ apparently doesn’t know why he’s even rejecting Roshi ? If there was a discussion with Roshi about his “expectations from their marriage” and if she had not showed interest, then it makes sense for him to say that. I feel Talha is assuming a lot about Roshi, which she isn’t🤦♀️🤷♀️
I went back and saw the Mayoun episode where Talha said that bahar ka shor kabhi kabhi andar ke sannate ko tod deta hai...
Talha feels there's too much darkness and sorrows in his life due to which he is unable to either give or receive love from anyone. On top of that, he has Mohid's responsibility. If this was simply a story of a single dad, would have been simpler for Talha to move forward and settle down, but the guilt of causing his brother and SIL's death and making Mohid an orphan is too traumatic for Talha, and he just wants to distance Roshi frommhjs personal trauma.
And in future episodes when Roshi says to him that you are not worthy of anyone's love, it will rekindle this deep wound and Talha will become reclusive again... 😥😥

Aww... this was so sweet to watch, and Rabia captured all the points so accurately... it indeed is a comfort watch but does not compromise audience intelligence.
At the same time, sensitively portraying how love happens in unexpected ways at unexpected points in our lives ans has the power to heal and make us better versions of ourselves! 💕💕
