** Sorry for the long post, had to pour in my thoughts.
My views after watching today’s episode, I’ll limit only to the central characters - Talha, Roshi & Abid uncle.
I’m thrilled to see Roshi’s growth, her commitment to career and studies is truly commendable. She’s making all efforts to improve herself, she realizes her position as an underdog in the project which she joined courtesy of Talha’s recommendation. She is driven to prove her worth in this role and this mindset is highly admirable, and she is on the correct trajectory. The scene in the parking garage highlights her boundless energy, passion, and eagerness to take on the challenge. Loving this change so far.
I am struggling to comprehend Talha's thought process. How does marrying equate to taking advantage of someone? Today, we learned that Abid uncle and Talha knew about Sabeeka's rude behavior towards Mohid, yet they chose to ignore it. Why did they not intervene? Talha's assertion that he could sacrifice 100 lives for Mohid seems contradictory, as he failed to take a stand for him. Also, if Sabeeka had not broken up, Talha would have happily married her without any qualms. How does this align with Talha's purported prioritization of Mohid? Is this the maturity that everyone is referencing? Additionally, now that the age gap between Talha and Roshi is being highlighted, what is the actual age difference? We know Roshi is 19-20 years old. Based on the accident flashback, Talha got engaged to Sabeeka three years ago and wanted to focus on his career then. Therefore, he should have recently completed his engineering degree. I’m guessing Talha should be 27-28. How is this huge age gap ?
Over the course of their last four conversations - at the pool, over coffee, during a cricket match, and today at the park - there has been no progress. The father is struggling to see past his son's heart and mind. Talha has agreed to marry at his father's behest, but refuses to marry Roshi - why? What makes Talha think another girl would be a better fit for his family and accept him for who he is? Or is there a better suitor for Roshi that is causing him to refuse?
My note to Abid Uncle: You need to devise a more sophisticated strategy to checkmate Talha. Relying solely on "Roshi loves Mohid" is no longer viable, you can’t pitch this for a “marriage” between two adults. A more strategic approach would be to weigh the pros and cons of Talha's choice versus Abid Uncle's choice.
