Imagine how powerful the scene could have been with a capable actor responding to the impact of Ani's words and emotions. A big letdown is Chandini's acting—she can't emote to save her life, leaving the moment completely flat on her end.

CS has no acting chops… and Leena’s writing ke kya hi kehne…aur Yogesh ki direction .what a combo

A scene of this kind is supposed to convey one of the following things…

Option 1) A manipulative Arshi trying to guilt trip Ani but CS did not mouth those lines in a way for me as a viewer to assume she is guilt tripping so let me check out the next option

Option 2) Arshi is truly upset that despite all her efforts Ani is distant… now assuming this is the meaning of the scene I would think it would have been evident to a viewer but nothing in the characterisation of Arshi until now can allow me to think of this introspective Arshi as a possibility cos these scenes between Ani and Arshi have happened ad nauseum that there is no impact. Arshi ke character main koi alsi layering na hain na kabhi thi so Leena’s “grand” attempt at some PL layering of some adhbut variety is all useless…

Every Anishi scene falls flat cuz Didi is just playing dumb in some form of the other....she literally gives blank/dumb looks aage se as if she can't comprehend anything Ani is saying and she is too busy diverting the convo to fixate on her imaginary victimhood.

Chandni is incapable of showing any nuance and baaki Leena has written Arshi ka character this flat too.....it's just an endless cycle of playing dumb and begging for sympathy.

She looked pregnant in this scene mainly cuz of the maternity dress she was wearing as if she is just about to be wheeled into labor to give birth .....the dress was making her look more bloated than usual.

Yup i agree yar ..I have to specially mention what an AMAZING actor Krushal is ..and how he still tries to add nuances to this script ...his voice modulations were brilliant today Even when Arshi was quite monotonous in her speech...I loved how he said tumko ye bhi nahi pata tumare liye achha kya hai ..just see how he delivers those dialogue..kal he has strange mix of resignation...firmness.. calmness..matter of fact Attitude..as u said he was compassionate yet didn't give in to her manipulation and stood by his stance ..he went very philosophical yesterday...@ bold..yup very apt summary...kal Ani was sitting right next to her but wo distance feel ho ra tha Arshi ko. Gave me strange kinda satisfaction..that force se if u try to achieve what is not yours ..kuch hath lagega nahi .if she wanted to hear he loves her wo uske hath nahi lagne wala ..this is my personal opinion..many shows me when they tie a ML in triangle kisi time acting se pata nahi chalta who ML feels for PL or FL..but for me it has always been clear the difference in Ani feeling for both women...Krushal has been brilliant in this ..his intensity of gaze..how he remains smitten ..the dreaminess in his eyes on seeing jhanak .that tadap .that fierceness is only for jhank .that feeling has never been there for Arshi ...jhank draws out very intense side out of him..

I haven’t watched but the writing by both AY and you give me the impetus to watch these scenes - I saw a clip yesterday and tbh I wasn’t focusing on the scene per se but was just amused to see Arshi with her stupid expressions- usko actor kisne banaya? 🤦🏻‍♀️

Do watch the episode..you will like Ani .he was very different yesterday..quite different from any of past phases i remember...krushal was brilliant...we anyhow get any Ani scenes other than Arshi caretaking ...u will like and i would absolutely love to know your take on them...Arshi ka to pucho nahi ..I only wish if they werent so heavily biased towards actor and character how would this story be..do tag me plz if u watch and give your take

I'm still not being able to find the right words to describe Ani in that Anishi room scene.....there was almost a new maturity about him in how he conducted that convo....his self-respect was back to draw a line of how much concession he will give to Arshi and where he will draw a line....and the WAY he conveyed it just had something different in it. I don't know if the scene was written that way or Krushal found a way to convey this new shift in Ani where he doesn't feel obligated to give fake ILUs to Arshi when she does her whole "mere saath dukhi ho? Main aise khalipan ke saath kaise jeeyungi" type lines.....

Ironically these episodes/scenes have probably been put together in a rush after the abrupt wrapping up of Gujarat track and the whole leap cancellation back and forth.....but still Krushal managed to very effectively convey that the whole fiasco done by Arshi in Gujarat has made him definitively pull back from making any extra efforts to pacify her and now he will stick to matter of fact zone with her....lol

This reminds me he even had a line in between this scene where I think he said maine altu faltu cheezon ke baare mein sochna chhod diya hai .....the way Ani was so FIRM in deflecting every way in which Arshi was trying to poke him into feeling guilty....that is what made this a nice scene to watch after many days.....

I'm also loving how this whole workaholic zone has given him a way to keep away from her and she isn't being able to hold him down even with fake bechargi lines about kyun kamana hai itna paisa? Tum beemar pad jaaoge blah blah....lol she did a whole show of showing sympathy towards him but still Ani was distant from her....he was emotional in some parts of the scene while philosophizing about life mein nahin milta jo hum chahte hain but he still conveyed a different kind of aloofness from Arshi today that was indeed enjoyable to watch

Literally uske side pe baithe huye bhi Ani was worlds away from her and that is why Didi itna chhatpataa rahi thi

@ bold ..you put things so well .. absolutely..there was something very different about him.very mature... something changed in him ..I absolutely liked how he made her realise how IMMATURE she was that she didn't know seeing jhanak married would give her closure and can you see there is kinda maturity and compassion in this Ani ..that Arshi is the reason of his heartbreak..she is reason why Runaak have to live empty loveless life but in that broken heart he was trying to soothe Arshi and trying to give HER closure while accepting life long pain ..this is level of his compassion ..as you beautifully said sath sofe pe baithe the dono but there was world between them ..and that barrier she could not cross no matter what she did and that what was making her feel defeated and empty...iski wajah se teen log empty life jeeyenge ...kal many of Ani dialogues were amazing ...yes altu faltu cheezo ke bare me sochna chhod diya hai ..life me sab kuch haasil nahi hota ....he has found way to channelize his pain through work...make me feel bit satisfied that he has something to cope ...seems this fiasco by Arshi literally pushed him over edge ....

A scene that illustrates this is when he offers her medicine, but when she questions whether he finds it difficult to live with her, he calmly puts the medicine back in the sachet and responds, “Let’s not talk about my personal matters.” Throughout the scene, he never offers the medicine again. As he walks out, he simply reminds her, in a general manner, to take her medicines and eat on time. It’s a perfect depiction of a man who has reclaimed control over his emotions and interactions—detached, but not indifferent. He’s no longer lost in the push and pull of Arshi’s words; he stands where he chooses to stand.

It'll be interesting to see how he deals with Jhanak going forward...

Love your post... could not have framed it better ❤️ one good episode and level of discussion changes ..I always think if they did not butcher Ani how the character would have blossomed ..love how u worded it ..he did define inner boundries and in very subtle and firm way he made it clear to Arshi ..I love personal matter line .it came as surprise to me and when Arshi said I am your wife so he said yes so whatever matter concerns u and me we can talk but no more than that and he repeated it twice even when she tried to push it ..and he actually seemed in control over his emotions...more evolved than I have seen him before ..@ bold. .loved these lines ..there is just something about being firm and calm..much more impact than shouting ...and yes detached but not indifferent...he has pulled himself back from being emotionally wavered and push and pull ...I think both Arshi and Jhanak have toyed with his emotions enough and he has seen enough ups and downs and I can see how he is tired ..I just wish they don't butcher him again as whenever I praise Ani too much they have way of spoiling it next episode...I am also interested in seeing how his life connects with jhanak again ..I am gonna watch this episode again to see all nuances like the medicine one u pointed out .thank you for your beautiful post ❤️
