Kabir organises the inauguration of his restaurant and invites Sujata with her family. When Neel calls Sara to set up a meeting, she refuses, saying that she needs to be present at the restaurant opening.
Sujata is pleasantly surprised when Kabir asks her to cut the ribbon, while Veeresh feels jealous. Kabir praises Sujata in front of all his guests and shows his gratitude for her by presenting her with a cheque of Rs 25 lakh. He says that it is a tribute to his teacher. Faiba and Veeresh are quite cut up that Sujata is the centre of attraction. The situation gets worse with Kabir insisting that Sujata sing. When Sujata looks at her husband enquiringly, Veeresh gives his permission with great reluctance. He then leaves the place in disgust.
After the song, Roshni catches hold of Kabir and asks him whether he is in love with Sujata and if that's why he is giving her so much importance. Kabir accepts that he feels love for Sujata, but only as a friend. Sam had been recording Sujata's song and he accidentally records the conversation between Kabir and Roshni along with it.
All hell breaks lose when Veeresh hears the first half of Kabir's reply and presumes that the latter loves his wife.
