The Rani bit isn't clear, but it seems like Mariaji wanted to send an assistant and Rani agreed originally, but then didn't. And then maybe there's another incident in between where she would change locations repeatedly and demand new hairstyles. Also seems like she didn't like Mariaji's work.

To me it looked like Rani did one hairstyle at the hotel, then by the time she reached the set she decided she wanted a new hairstyle coz she didn't like the current one. And maybe she had an issue with Maria if she didn't even like the way she straightened or blow dried her hair. Coz this is a senior hairstylist, I doubt she doesn't know how to blowdry someone's hair.
