That too is true. But unfortunately, when ITV male leads are seedha saada, they are reduced to doormats to either their own family or to the female lead. It's rare to see seedha saada male leads who can stand up to both their own family and female lead when need arises (one such ML was Ishan Kashyap in Sasural Gendaa Phool but then too, the story was more dependent on Sasural and Suhana rather than Suhana-Ishan)

tbh neil would actually be reduced to a doormat to both his mom and wife but would have a spine to stand up for his wife and at some turns become a little red flag too

i actually want them to explore the introvert husband x extrovert wife trope properly, to give some really good moments.

I don't have any such reservations with red flag FL or ML unless they do something really irredeemable. As far as, they minimize over complicated family drama where debates ranging from groceries to atom bomb are done in hall day in and day out and scenarios of heroine defusing bomb and hero awakening comatose heroine by just singing a romantic song and glorifying cheating and both wives of male lead living in the same house, I'd tolerate any show.

Reminds me of Sasural Genda Phool and Rab Ne Banaa Di Jodi. Actually I love them both.

Aadha chakkar to fandoms ka ho jaata hai. Unko chahiye poore time hero heroine ek doosre ko unconditionally support karein and Romeo Juliet bane rahein. Bina conflict ke koi bhi story hoti hi nahi hai. I mean theek hai ITV level ki conflicts mat rakho ki hero ki chachi ki cousin ke bete ke kaaran hero heroine ek doosre se door ho gaye, but organic issues to hote hi hain ek couple kr beech me. And bina organic issues and obstacles ke koi bhi love story ya jodi timeless nahi banti. Par fans always want ki hero heroine ek doosre ke pyaar me hi doobe rahein. On the other hand we have Star Plus, where the whole extended family of 30 members has no other purpose in life other than making heroine's life hell. Bhai itna single minded dedication aur obsession kyon hoga kisi ka heroine ki life par?
