I feel Armaan would be talking about feeling like he was the only one, that he was the priority & he truly belonged, only with his mom, that feeling he never had again. That also kind of ties into the earlier narrative where he did say that despite being a part of such a huge family, he always felt alone & paraya, and was called that many times by the family itself.

You're right. He never had that sense of belongingness until he met Abhira. But that kind of security is different than the one that you get from your mother. Vidya never made him feel secure in his position as his son. He always felt like he would get disowned one day if he set one foot out of line. It's sad. Shivani will now give him the mothers love he's longed for and deserved for so many years.
