Sorry for jumping in. This was one aspect I loved in SKR. They showed Ram being trained in all warfare, he’s not only a skilled bowman, but can fight with his sheer hands, ride horses when expertise. He was also an excellent swordsman.
That bit detail was fascinating.

Arjun is like Shri Ram - ( absolutely not comparing characteristics) . He was also known to be skilled in various art forms / weapons / animal riding. They are trained in multiple weaponry other than archery.

Yes and the princes and kings those days were trained in wrestling too. I did like that part in SKR. It was the fake feminist parts and the fact that they purposely made Ram and Lakshman look inferior to Sita that put me off in this series.

Not just Arjun, all 5 of them were excellent warriors. Bheem was a very skilled archer - a fact that is not well known. While reading the events of the Mahabharata war, one can see how skilled he is with bows and spears as well and not just the mace.

Yes, we did have many warrior princesses and queens. Kaikeyi from Ramayana is a good example. Mahabharata had many.

Yes, she was. Even Sita and her sisters all were warrior princess. As when Shri Ram was informing her about he is going to forest and the way and reasons maa sita gives to Shri Ram is a must be listened to or read.

None of the princesses in either era was a damsel in distress. Even Sabri the way she is shown in valmiki Ramayan . She was no damsel in distress when Matang Rishi took her as his shishya.

There is one spiritual teacher who uses this as a reference to teach or inspire girls learn martial arts for her own safety for this day and age.

Men and women were taller and bigger than now.

Men were broad and muscular, yes.

Women were curvaceous and healthy.

Yes they did but their places were not close to each other. Not too far but not too close either. Each palace has its own surrounding garden, etc.

Men retinue was also large in Ayodhya (and Mithila).
