I think he's reshooting some portions. The actors in his films have to wait too long for release. Need to be extremely patient also

No, it is the official remake of a Spanish movie and its US remake (Campeones and Champions)...but as it is also a movie about mentally challenged people, Aamir maybe opted for a reminder of TZP.

No, it's not an old movie (you may confound it with TZH, but this is SZH). Yeah, allegedly the shooting was finished in June last year but it seems that not.
