Because there's no guilt for ruining her career and the public humiliation. He's feeling self pity imagining the lonely life HE will have to lead here onwards. And unlike the popular opinion, he didn't do all this to make her go way from him. He did it purely out of revenge. As he said jn the precap, all his tears and misery is because HE wants to stop loving her and move on with his life, and is unable to do so. Not a single thought regarding the gravity of his amd his mother's actions on Abhira and her brother's lives.
