Watching indian news is like watching a circus unfold. Loud noises, colorful changing images and no substance.

Now this also will become political, instead I am finding more concrete info online than on news channels.

This is so shocking and scary.......Imagine entering a celebrity's home so easily, where were the guards??

Well based on the news that has come out - the "burglar" entered Jeh and Taimur's room first. A female employee saw him and tried to stop him and he attacked her (assaulted her). Saif heard and intervened and that's when he got stabbed 6 times and the knife got left in one of his wounds, which was removed at the hospital. FYI a couple of sites did say "burglars" as in plural, as in multiple perps. There was also something about 1 crore demand. I mean it's all out there in front of us but also maybe there's something that hasn't been put in front of us. But sure let's just call it burglary.

Let's add to that this perp or perp(s) knew the layout of the building, somehow got in without being seen (at least from what we know so far), knew exactly which room to go to on in a 4-floor house, and got away without getting caught.

I didn't recognize the name, so I Googled it and now I get why you underlined and highlighted the Inspector's name. It does tie in with the "burglary".

Are the high profile actors more under threat in Bollywood? And do they really need to seriously beef up on more security?

Yes. This wasn't some crime of opportunity. I mean if the footage they've released is really the "burglar" then he seems very calm for someone whose just stabbed a celeb 6 times while attempting to commit a robbery and knows that his life is about to become a living hell. Stabbing a regular person while attempting to commit a robbery should get anyone worried, but we're talking an A-lister celeb here. Not Shreya or Jess who only a handful of people know.

The media coverage of this is a perfect example of Chinese whispers. It’s started with Saif tried to intervene in a fight between his maid and someone, and now the latest headline is someone was taking Taimur and Jeh hostage. The sensationalization of this is pathetic really and I genuinely don’t think we know anymore today than we did last night. Until proven otherwise I still believe this was a case of their maid letting someone in for personal reasons and the situation turned into a fight which escalated into the attack on Saif.

All that being said, I agree with everyone that celebs should probably keep their kids even more guarded and private now. Same with their private residences.
