But that's the industry you have to survive in. Generally, people in the industry pretend to be nice on the face. So, for claws to come out openly means you have deeply offended someone very high up. Also, PH and channel heads don't openly shade actors and directors, so for it to happen was quite notable.

They are excessively critical and trying to be funny for funny sake, but they have made some very solid points too that I have agreed with.

Yes, they do make some solid points in between somewhere. It’s just hard to take them seriously when they discredit people doing things for views and advising celebrities to not be pressured by anyone when they themselves are being forced and it’s for views. Just to clarify, I have no problem with them doing this for initial episodes (still find it weird that it’s industry insiders doing it but that aside), it’s just the continual hate is getting a bit much now in my opinion. Any valuable feedback is lost in there somewhere

@teal: that is exactly what KRQ or whoever devised the script wanted I guess. Bilal is the farishta and Sadaf is the cruel, *selfish* lady who did not respect someone who loved her. So does that mean she should have told him yes even though she did not have any feelings for him only based on the favours he did ? she is marrying him, not doing a favour on him. A marriage done as a favour would never stand. Does not a girl have the right to say NO - no matter what the guy has done for her ? that is the crux of the issue. Every single woman has the right to choose her life partner, and it need not be because he has favored her/ helped her. Bilal might have loved her but Sadaf had no such feelings for him.

I understand what you are saying..but again it all depends in the execution. The way FL was written,in no way made the audience sympathize with her...In that moment audience couldn't sympathize with her...now when we look back,Sadaf is more understandable...

Its okay to take wrong decisions and realizing it later and accepting it.. but that could have been done in a much better way I feel.

all reviewers who run their channels and make money from it care about views. they are not running a charity. it's a business. even something haute. they have said that many times that they review some shows because it has got viewership or because it's their audience demand, even if they have no interest in it. Anyone who runs a movie review channel in the US for instance will review the latest MCU or Star Wars film even if they did not like the trailer or the film or it's not their genre because they know it gets them views and they need to run a channel. If doing reviews for views is an issue, no review channel is credible.

I don’t think we were supposed to empathize Sadaf at that point. I understood why she declined his proposal but even I wasn’t fond of her badmouthing Bilal.

Now though, I don’t have a problem with her. I just see a woman struggling in her marriage without a lot of support. She isn’t making the right decision for herself but that sometimes takes a bit of a journey to get there. She might have made mistakes and still continues to but she has my sympathy for what she is facing.

oh yes the show's execution sucks. it could have been infinitely better, but turned out to be a hopeless dud

If industry bigwigs start to shade you and/or your project openly, that's a huge deal, especially in an industry where it's all about connections. Usama disowning SMD so overtly means he knows he won't get any blowback from the industry - you can imagine what that says about industry sentiments abut this project.

But why the industry I'd so against this drama? What is this continuous negativity? What is so special in this project?

Of course I get that Hypno. I just think it’s better that they own up to it than acting better than thou and like some elite critics that are just trying to get their feedback to the team. I’m not talking about SH, just mostly about KDH. I was initially just responding to people that were hoping the SMD team gets the message. I think they will, no need for reviewers repeatedly hammer it in if that is their purpose like they claim. Again I said they could do whatever they want, I just think they should own up to it, that’s all. Also your own peers reviewing you is just a unique and strange concept to me.

I m talking about the time when she declined the proposal...that time her character looked very impulsive.

Her impulsiveness and immaturity has toned down now...so I understand where she is coming from.

Her scene with Bilal was very powerful and good..I totally understood the fact when she said "dont interfere in our personal lives " because which woman would want another man to speak to her husband about personal affairs..literally no one..!!

So her character does make sense to me now..but not 14 episodes before.

That’s what I mean, it’s just adding to the conspiracy theories. I have no idea what would make this a target though
