Agreed Maya has probably faced the most hate. I don’t know if I’m right but I feel like Wahaj went completely silent after that enjoying the views post. I feel he was just trying to be funny but Haseeb entered the comments and hateful comments followed. After that, he stopped posting altogether (except for that post with his dog). Maybe he’s just busy as he’s pretty inconsistent in posting anyway or maybe he just was put off by that. Now if that’s the case, whether it was right for him to go completely silent is a whole other debate.

I didn't tune into ptv reviews until covid. before that, i was avid consumer of reviews of US tv shows (mostly sci-fi, fantasy, comic books). My most visited site was the AV club but I also kept abreast with multiple review channels on YT (portals + individuals). Reviewers ripping a show apart every week is very common in that context, though it would be more of rant than a roast. More recently, Ashoka, LOTR, Boba Fett would get ripped week after week by big or small review channels on YT. Of course these series do not have 40 episodes, but these shows would get ripped every week. But rants are more common than roasts in US tv review context. I haven't seen many roasts.

WAHI TOH!!!! Aunty's opinion changed because Bilal spent money like water and automatically he became the golden boy - but by then Sadaf was overwhelmed with the amount of favours racking up.. its not her fault she did not want to marry him.
ehsaan ke badle ehsaan kiya ja sakta hai, mohhabat toh nahi kiya ja sakta haina ?

she did have some favourable feelings that could have transitioned to love if it had been given the time and space - but no one gave her that. Everyone kept breathing down her neck for marriage and ultimately she married Ammar because she thought at least he is HER choice - I accept it might have been a mistake, but domestic violence or him being an abusive ass is not and will never be justified. not to mention, even Hamsha said things about BA - how was she supposed to react ? should she take the words of people who *she thinks* has her welfare at heart or the man who is supposedly nice but she has heard only unsavory rumours about ? Before she could realise, a lot of things happened.

There is a difference between a good project which doesn't get numbers and a really bad project which gets roasted and negative audience feedback (plus also not get good numbers). Numm was a hatke project - it was a pretty good drama actually, just not a hit. Askk, I remember got audience backlash cos Fawad's cktr would go drinking in a pub. Ashk wasn't that great but it was just average bad. If Mein and SMD were just average bad like Namak Haram or Ashkk or they were good projects that didn't get numbers (like Mann Jogi or Numm), that would've been still ok.

Besides, Fawad also gave Akbari Asghari, ZGH and Kuch Pyar Ka Pagalpan in same timeframe so that was able to overcome Ashk & Numm bad numbers..
