LMAO Sadaf doesn't have any POV in this show. She is just the centre object and everyone's lives get regulated by making her do what they want.Bilal wants to marry her,Ammar was blackmailing her,Humsha wants remove her from Bilal's heart,Her father didn’t want her to be near Bilal.Wtf does she want???They just show her making decisions on everything others say.Why they NEVER show what does she thinks about things. In the early episodes we got long scenes of Bilal's reactions of the things happen around him like What he feels about marriage, how lonely he is,how he drinks and hores around as coping mechanism, how much Mirza Saab's words affected him, what did he think of Sadaf's indecent proposal. But what about Sadaf? Why there is monologue about why did she start hating on Bilal hearing what hamsha said?Or how did she feel knowing he donated Z his bone marrow?Or ehy she suddenly chose Ammar?Or why did she think selling herself is the only option she has? They just showed her doing things, but never her POV.That is why people could never connect with her because she doesn't have any voice of her own.Why does everything that happens in her life is in relation with others?Originally posted by: hypnotoad
Pura drama FL ke pov se hai. Ab Maya ko isse zyada kya screenspace mile. It's just a poorly written, poorly executed and poorly performed perspective, which is different. Bilal Abdullah is sanctified and elevated as a farishta, but he is a one-dimensional character with no other facet besides Sadaf's personality. Again, KRQ knows how to write MLs, but Bilal is NOT written as an ML in an ML-centric KRQ drama. Danish in MPTH was a farishta too, but he was three-dimensional and was the POV character. Instead, Bilal is written exactly as how KRQ writes parallel male leads in a (FL-centric) KRQ drama. Just because it is Wahaj and the marketing tells you he is THE lead, but the writing does not support that claim.
The criticism of Sadaf putting up with so much for so long is that it does not fit the character. Someone like her may have forgiven Ammar the first time and given him the ultimatum then (that time when Sadaf slaps Ammar). That would have made sense. But they keep piling it on (cheating, verbal and physical abuse, gaslighting), while Ammar shows no fake remorse nor tries to cry or love-bomb Sadaf to give him chance after chance (in fact, he doubles down, blaming her character for assassinating her). Even Amma on GL doesn't get it (and she is not some hater).
On the other hand Bilal was written to show as some Masiha who will not be considered by any female with a brain by the things he does, but becomes an angel by doing charity. He decided he loves Sadaf and did all those ehsaan on Sadaf without her asking and it made the audience believe that it entitles him to Sadaf's mind, body and soul forever. If Bilal didn’t give Sadaf the 8cr for free I don't think people would gave hated her for rejecting.KRQ made Sadaf resort to selling herself to make Audience feel disgusted and in the same scene made him understand her trouble and gave her the money for free to show see how much better the man is than the woman. She is doing something so hideous but he is granting her khairat like a god.Even if Bilal is the parallel lead, then KRQ made sure that his parallel lead is the only likable character in this show because the so called main lead Ammar is abusive and toxic
