Perfectly square & gol roti ka kya karna hai, usi shape mein pura paratha muh me ghusaa denge kyasmiley26

I dislike all those men & women who expects perfect shaped roti from every woman in house as much as i hate pulaao! smiley11

A Desi good women should be multitaskers according to new norms. She should have a degree, job, career , perfect cook, gher ky sary kaam bi karti Ho , bacho ki caregiver bi Ho or husband ka bi khayal rakhy. smiley44

Even Nashwa also talked about this smiley21

Seriously mjy smj nahi ati why there is so much obsession in Desi families when it comes to 'Gol' Roti. Roti khani hy jesy bi Ho smiley44

Yeah its a typical Desi misogynist mentality but mostly middle aged men thinks like that. They want younger wives as they become old.

But in one interview during Nayab, he was acting as biggest feminist who believe in equal right of men and women and how he would allow his future wife to be independent.

Why these actors change their statements according to their circumstances. smiley39

I neither agree with the pseudo feminists who "act " like they dunno how to cook n will only marry those gentlemen who will "cook" for them nor those male chauvinists probably still living in 1960s who thinks " ye sabh mardonka kaam nahi hei, aurat ko karna padega".smiley39Ye sabhko seekhna chahiye.

Cooking is a basic life skill. Don't know why this skill is being associated with women only in Asian countries. Even men cook more tasty food than women.

In fact, Desi families ka sach yeh hai ki koi feedback sirf tab dete hai jab kisi cheez mein koi kami ho! Chaahe decorate karke rakho ya din-raat ek karke koi complicated dish banaao feedback hoga:

"namak kam/zyaada hai" ,

"garam nahin hai" (ladies run between kitchen & dining table not even able to take a deep breath, all the efforts to serve garmagaram khaana) ,

"khaane ke saath paani nahin laaya" (alag beizzati despite making tasty food, if forgot to bring water from kitchen to table) ,

"itne saal ho gaye, aaj tak theek se kuch banaana nahin seekha" (when It's just a bad dish after years of making tasty food) & the list may go on! 🥲

It's like one category is meant to provide selfless service + insulted for apparently not doing anything whole day while other one gets paid for whatever they do + respect for being the earning one!

IMO, a people inside a house need to share responsibility, including the children!

Zaroori nahin hai har woman multitasking, all-rounder ho jo ek saath sab kuch karein, jaise ki cooking, searching for key of husband's car & children's socks, ironing the uniform, making daughter's hair, packing lunchbox etc. altogether!

Some husbands can chop vegetables faster & nicer than wives, some fathers make better hairstyle for their children, children might find lost keys faster than adults & individuals can fill their lunchbox as per how much they need to eat!

I happens in joint family system mostly. As other female memers of family dont like when men cook for their wives.I hope Gen Z men change these lame traditions in our society for betterment.

I agree with everything you say and not all men are the same. I now live in Pakistan and my husband cooks for me every weekend. He even cooks better than me now and helps me take care of our baby but sadly mostly in Pakistan yeh sab ko acha nahi samjhty hai 😔

Exactly! I used to watch turkish shows & there most of the male leads cook really amazing dishes! Contrary to our rivaaj where a wife is expected to "make" her place in husband's heart by cooking tasty food smiley29, there the leads grow familiar over the food cooked by male leads! 😅

And wahaan koi paratha, roti nahin banaate, zyaada sa zyaada omelette banaate hai round shape mein! Warna toh sab salad, kebab type cheezein hi khaate hai! Aur banda dekhne mein bhi fit hai! Maybe because very less intake of carbohydrates!

Humaare yahaan toh puri zindgi chaahe kitchen mein guzaarte khatm ho jaaye, gol-gol roti ke sifarish khatm hi nahin ho raha! smiley14
