I have heard this one and love it!

This is actually the original. Burmanda was the MD for Baharein phir bhi aayegi and composed this song as its title song based on the Bridge on the River Kwai theme as Guru Dutt wanted. Then Burmanda fell ill and was replaced by OPN. Then Guru Dutt passed away and the movie was made with Dharmendra and released in 1966.

Burmanda then used the same tune in Jewel Thief that came out in 1967.

Which song? Ye dil na hota? I love the picturization. Goldie Anand’s genius, he’s a master of it.

Present day director can pictures that song better than dance director of Ye dil na hota bechara Kishore song on Dev Saab

Agree to disagree. Goldie Anand was one of the best directors for song picturization. Present day directors can learn a thing or two from him. Ye dil na hota may not have been his best but none of his song picturizations are bad.

This song is one of his greatest songs, and what a song it is. He made the lyrics, melody, and song an all-time masterpiece by simply infusing each word with passion and feeling.

Film--Chaudhvin Ka Chand.

Sung by Mohammed Rafi,

written by Shakeel Badayuni and

music by Ravi

I agree, one of his finest, Gurudutt and Wahida Rehman were quite good on screen too.

Roshan's mun re is another fantastic compostion that Rafi has sung.

Yes. The start is from Mastom Mastom. But the last part in which he sings : Ya Dilruba .. is from Ya Mustafa:
