they could have easily fixed the pace and editing of the show since criticisms started. the long-pauses, unnecessary voiceovers and repititions, filler shots / scenes, zabardasti ka suspense and horror music, filters, editing out words like saali, laundiya - these were very much fixable in edit. so the team had plenty of opportunity to salvage the product and some of their reputation 20 episodes ago, but refused to take it.

in today's episode, we get 1m44s of Ammar entering the house, taking shoes off, climbing stairs, entering bedroom, sitting on bed before he said Sadaf's name. We got 35 seconds of Sadaf's reaction of heavy breathing after Ammar yells Sadaf at her. After the slap, Sadaf cries and then Ammar walks away. But instead of scene ending there, we get additional 2m10s of Sadaf crying silently making weird distortive faces and Bilal looking broody in bed. So much of this unnecessary shots that prolonged the scenes, slowed the pace and diluted the impact could have been removed in edit. not salvaging the product even tho they had the time to do so is on the team.

If he had bothered to read the script he would have known how much sceentime BA had. or that BA barely gets any depth, dimensions and independent tracks in the writing. i COUNTED and at least one third of Wahaj scenes so far are filler scenes with him looking broody and sad but which has no connect to scene before of after. Same 2-3 expressions be it khambe se latakte huey, fondling lamps, staring into fireplaces, lying on various sofas, piano play karte huey, leaning against walls and windows, stumbling around, sitting by the pool, in the garden, on the table, on the couch, on the bed. dressed in various nightsuits and robes. no dialogue. same 2-3 expressions. scenes which are randomly inserted to pad up ss and do not drive the plot. even with this pad up, his screentime feels less. picking scripts because you get 3-4 scenes in which to perform is a terrible selection criteria.

Right now for me Zaid as a character >> Bilal Abdullah. At least he had multiple equations with his dad and two wives. Bilal has no purpose in the story except loving Sadaf.

Zaid is literally Wahaj's worst performance. I think his performance as BA is better than Zaid. But that's a low bar to cross. But is BA better than Rumi, Murtasim, Junaid, Saad, Basim? At this stage, we should be comparing what Wahaj does with his previous best, not his previous worst.

His performance is better but character is worse. Bilal Abdullah had potential but now no one will even remember it after the show is over and some might even put it in the worst lists.

It is clear how much Bilal respects and cares for Sadaf... the writer has made the Sadaf character so foolish... it really bothers the viewers... this stupidity will be completely replaced by regret. I can clearly see this in the trailer with Sadaf's attempt to run away from Bilal... I hope that in the upcoming episodes, we will only see this regret, not the nonsense of Amaar, Dania, and Hamsha... I hope that the screen time will now be entirely devoted to Sadaf and Bilal.

This drama is getting roasted everywhere but now I feel it's over roasting going on. Jesus we all know this drama is not perfect, but enough to make it a hot topic. SMD has it charm.

I agree , it’s being micro analysed . But also a part of it comes from hate for actors . What matters is - do you like show and it’s entertaining you then rest all can be ignored .

Sadaf is initially written as a rather indecisive and weak character. This has had a disturbing effect on the viewers, as the character frequently makes illogical and flawed decisions. Her indecision about Bilal before the marriage revealed her lack of trust and respect. This has made it difficult for viewers to understand Sadaf more deeply.

It is expected that Sadaf will experience regret. Particularly after the decisions she made regarding her marriage, the character is anticipated to become stronger and make more conscious choices. However, Sadaf still hides some truths about her marriage. She will be determined not to reveal the truth about Amaar's violence to Bilal. This secret will add emotional intensity to the story.

In the current phase of the series, the inner conflicts and regrets of the characters will evolve into a significant drama in the upcoming episodes. Viewers’ expectations are primarily focused on Sadaf’s character development and her confrontation with regret. Her relationship with Bilal will become a central point, both emotionally and strategically. Characters like Hamsha, Dania, and Amaar will continue to engage in manipulation and violence, and ultimately, they will face the consequences of their actions.
