If second citizen treatment continues with characters other than Daya's, I don't know how long the show will last. The nostalgia factor won't work beyond a couple of months at most. They think that Daya is the crowd puller and also has this Singham factor, but in reality, a Daya alone cannot run the franchise. Neither he is a great actor who could give memorable performances. The show is about ACP, Abhijeet and Daya. It will die on its own bum if only one of them is given importance. What a shame, really! Also, in montages, Daya is either in the middle, or has a bigger image than the other two. And Abhijeet, especially, is just merely there, and no more appears to be the right hand man of ACP, in trailers. The recent trailer for Episode 5 again is so freaking Daya heavy.

I haven't watched the new season yet, and this unfair treatment to the character of Abhijeet is discouraging me to not to as I would not want a good memory of a good TV show (before 2014)to turn sour.

Not sure what made you think that Daya is getting more importance than others. The second episode was solely focussed on Abhijeet and yesterday it was more of Avni than others(yes Daya had more ss than Abhijeet but not the highest). In fact even if they don't mention explicitly, they hint that Abhijeet is central

Abhijit has two prominent cases that flight and rail wala and ss will fluctuate as per cases /cases related to cid folks so not bothered about that. Anyways the trio are senior actors who established the brand so no way they will be sidelined. They are the strongest actors too .

Personally I am satisfied with the show as it's going. Finally I have something new to watch not saas bahu reality show bakwas 😂 cid is nostalgia. If the cast is good show looks good I will ignore some plot holes etc. and it's good the ph listening to audience. Respect 🙏🙏🙏🙏

@ Bold: 100% agreed. My biggest worry was that they would mess up this season and make a mockery out of the show, but so far so good. The first epi was a bit hard to digest, but they seem to have come back on track mostly. Fingers crossed it stays this way for however long we have this new season.

I don't think it's a problem they have. This is a new PH. They may not have copyright approvals to show certain actors yet. In fact, maybe they don't have the actors' approvals. After all Vivek left the industry to become a professor so maybe he isn't okay with being shown on screen and I swear Hrishikesh's name was in early rumours of returning to CID Season 2, so maybe they're still working on that.

1. How does Dr. Yuvaan have the file so ready and easily accessible if Amisha hasn't been to his clinic in 6 months to a year? Arre thoda bahut toh realism dekhate. 1. They showed it that Yuvan was lying. Amisha had visited Yuvan just one week before the said date. My confusion is why didn't he tell this to CID. What was his incentive of lying and why did he go to Amisha after her phone call? Also Amisha was his client, so didn't he knows that Amisha had died 12 years back?

2. Twins has nearly the same DNA( theoretically identical twins should have 100% match in DNA but practically there is some very minor difference always- scientists still don't know why) so by very minute study one could determine if the DNA is of person or his/her identical twins, but they can't conclude relationship with others. Like using DNA one can not conclude which of the identical twins is the parent of a child..

3. Agree over here, what I felt more stupid was that she was pretending to be the mother of an 8 year old(meaning got pregnant 9 years back) and Amisha had died only 12 years back still the pics they showed were all of kids... Like didn't it appear to at least Avni that how did a kid get married and conceived in 3 years

Hrishikesh, Jahnvi and Shradha have all shared the post of CID return in their respective ig. So probably they all expect to have some discussion of return

Shradha I think definitely can return since Dr. Tarika has been mentioned. I really hoped they showed what happened to Freddy... But in way it's good they kept it to viewer discretion. Although indirectly it did hint that even Freddy is no more.

I like that they kept it vague about Freddy. They know that we all know that Dinesh sir is gone so by extension Freddy is no more.

Abt Shraddha... she isn't doin anything specific as of now(except for the woman talk show) so she could've returned

And for Sachin probably they would be planning his entry cuz that vraj guy isn't seen for 3 episodes straight

If any actors aren't available can they do it like mention the character name and give it some form of conclusion

I had no idea Shreya was in jail and she had a kid so maybe daya gets a call she's out of jail with her husband and kid settling abroad. Regarding tarika too maybe Dr salunkhe talking to her in phone and Abhijit overheard one side of conversation. They can continue the character like this..maybe Abhijit talking to tarika on phone or MSG. That would be so cool atlst we have some idea about them.

Whoever character left cid (alive lol) they can mention it offhandedly like eg special bureau solved a big case it can publish in newspaper. It will give that multiverse feeling not like these people forgot their colleagues.

Did she mention it on her social media? She's currently running a finishing school so she might be too busy to return. I really liked Freddy sir's tribute.
