I’ve given up on expecting a backstory. I believe they think that they have already given it to us. His mother cheated on his dad and left them for the other man. It affected how he viewed women but love changed that for him. He adapted bad habits but Namdaar’s Mirza’s daughter changed all that for him. Sadly I think that’s all we’re getting. I hope there’s more but I’m not betting on it.
I feel like there is no story left after they get married so that probably will come at the end. For now it’s their journey of how they get there along with the other characters and their arcs too.
What we really got:
E1: B is a guy who is always drunk, has marasim with women, does not believe in marriage and only transactional relationships with women. He sees a hot girl who almost got hit by his car. He leers at her. He finds out she is N's daughter.
E2: N says to B "peete huey meri beti ka naam mat lijye"
end of E2: B is affected by N's words and gives up drinking and marasim.
That's not a journey or an arc. It's a plot device you introduced to establish B has a bad reputation (to justify S's extreme prejudice later) and then conveniently hand-waves it away in next episode to show this man is reformed.
It is obvious this show has no interest in exploring anyone's emotional arc except Sadaf. Humsha turns good in last episode but we never see the process of that transformation. One week she is bad, next episode she is good, and all we get is a line of dialogue to explain it. Same for Dania. Her transformation from sad rejected person who gave up and left to this vengeful Fatal Attraction cktr hell bent on achieving Ammar all happened offscreen. Only Sadaf's emotional transitions are set up mapped in minute detail onscreen, It's a different thing Maya have not executed Sadaf's emotional status and its evolution always clearly.
